75 YEARS SINCE THE EXPULSION OF THE NAZI OCCUPIERS FROM UKRAINE

On October 28, 2019, our country celebrates a significant date in its history – the 75th anniversary of the expulsion of the Nazi occupiers from Ukraine. On this day, near the Solomyansky Memorial in the park named after Hundreds of people gathered in M. Ostrovsky to honor the memory of compatriots who liberated the cities and villages of Ukraine from invaders at the cost of their own lives.
 

The flower-laying ceremony was attended by World War II veterans, Deputy Head of the Solomyansk Regional State Administration Olena Horpynchenko, Chief of Staff Oleksandr Korol, Head of the District Veterans’ Organization Lieutenant General Borys Parafeynikov, Verkhovna Rada Deputy Anna Purtova, President of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Board of the Charitable Foundation “Reggae Basse Ukraine” Angela Antonova, members of the Public Council at the Solomyansk State Administration, concerned Kyivites and guests of the capital, who paid tribute to the liberators of Ukraine and do not forget about their glorious feat. In honor of the heroes-defenders sounded volleys of military salute, a funeral prayer was said.

The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims, after which they witnessed a solemn march of representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
