Висловлюємо глибоке співчуття польському народові і сумуємо разом з усією світовою спільнотою з приводу жорстокого вбивства мера Гданська, Великого Поляка і Друга України, Павела Адамовича.

У понеділок, 14 січня, мер Гданьска помер у лікарні від отриманих напередодні ножових поранень. На 53-річного Павла Адамовича напали просто на сцені під час благодійного концерту “Великий оркестр святкової допомоги”.

27-річний Стефан В. тричі вдарив ножем мера: у серце, черевну порожнину та у діафрагму. Нападник мав бейдж “преса”. Під час нападу злочинець встиг вигукнути в мікрофон, що він несправедливо відсидів у в’язниці через провину опозиційної партії “Громадянська платформа”, членом якої був Адамович. METROPOLITAN EPIPHANIUS MEETS AND COMMUNICATES WITH RELATIVES OF UKRAINIAN POLITICAL PRISONERS

January 12 in Ukraine marks the day of a political prisoner. On this day, the families of Ukrainians imprisoned for political reasons had dinner with the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Epiphanius, who, together with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church charity Eleos-Ukraine, initiated the meeting.

The dinner was also attended by ambassadors or their deputies from the United States, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Estonia, Minister for the Temporarily Occupied Territories Vadym Chernysh, First Vice-Rector of the CPBA Archpriest Oleksandr Trofimlyuk, member of the International DIPLOMATIC MISSION Ihor Oleksandrovych Hryb – Head of the Department of Persons Deprived of Personal Freedom, heads of Ukrainian public organizations and cultural figures.

A BRIEFING OF THE UKRAINIAN WOMEN IN THE UN PROJECT WAS HELD AT THE UKRAINIAN CRISIS MEDIA CENTER

The Ukrainian Crisis Media Center hosted a briefing on the Ukrainian Women at the UN project.

The program was presented and the main areas of activity of the Ukrainian delegation at the 63rd session of the UN, which is organized annually in March by the Women’s Committee on Women’s Rights (CAW63 – 2019).

Lilia Shevchenko and Angela Antonova, vice-presidents of the European Ukraine NGO, were invited.

Today, Ukrainian women are a leading party in Ukraine’s transformation. They are adamant about integrating their experience, knowledge, and intelligence into the world community because living in a geopolitical rift and armed conflict, they understand that only by joining forces can peace and peace be restored in the country. In many ways, the way to revive Ukraine is to create a sustainable socio-economic process that ensures a fair gender balance.

ANNIVERSARY OF QATAR’S INDEPENDENCE

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to Ukraine Jasim Rashid Al-Khalifa held a solemn reception in honor of the National Day dedicated to the anniversary of Qatar’s independence and the anniversary of the country’s unification.

His colleagues, heads of diplomatic missions and other distinguished guests arrived to express their respect and congratulate Mr. Ambassador on the national holiday. Among the guests was Lilia Zolotonosha, a member of the Presidential Council of the International Diplomatic Mission of People’s Diplomacy “EUROPEAN UKRAINE”.

Qatar National Day was proclaimed in 2007 and is celebrated annually on December 18.

December 18, 1878, became the day of the founding of the state of Qatar. The prehistory of this date shows that in 1867 the military forces of the rulers of Bahrain carried out a naval attack on the city of Al-Wakra as part of the fight against the Qatari rebels. Such aggression by Bahrain was a violation of the Anglo-Bahrain Treaty of 1820 – and as a result of a diplomatic reaction from Britain – the state of Qatar was created.

Until 1971, Qatar was not a fully independent state, but its people managed to maintain their national unity. And a holiday such as Qatar National Day has now become an occasion for its citizens to honor the memory of all those who fought for the establishment and development of the country’s independence and to express their gratitude to them.

INDEPENDENT UKRAINIAN CHURCH – INDEPENDENT STATE

From now on, Ukrainians will be free hosts in their homes. Decades will pass, but descendants will know that on this day the Ukrainian Orthodox Church became independent. Orthodoxy in Ukraine has become Ukrainian.

On December 15, during the Unification Council, Orthodox bishops announced the unification of Ukrainian churches into a single local independent church. Its official name sounds like this – Ukrainian Local Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Epiphanius of Pereyaslav and Bila Tserkva became the head of the Unified Local Orthodox Church. His candidacy was supported by a majority of bishops at the Unification Council in Kyiv.

WRITER’S HOUSE. PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK OF LILY ZOLOTONOSHA “WOMAN: WHAT SHE IS”

Representatives of IDM PEOPLE’S DIPLOMACY “EUROPEAN UKRAINE” were invited to the presentation of a new book by Lilia Zolotonosha “Woman: what she is.”

 The solemn event took place in the Writers’ House at 2 Bankova Street. Many people came to greet Lilia, including Petro Zasenko, a famous Ukrainian poet, winner of the A. Malyshko Prize, and the author of the foreword and editor of Ms. Lilia’s newborn prose.

 The ensemble “Golden Autumn” from Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi district helped to create a festive mood. The atmosphere at the presentation was very cozy, you could even say – “home”, as everyone present was friends and colleagues of Lilia. A few words should also be said about the book itself. It is written in the genre of “erotic lyrics” and helps to understand the depth of the author’s soul, her view of the world, and the place of women in this world. As Lilia said, “Woman is the foundation of the universe,” and this book is a mirror of a woman’s soul, showing how life events affect the subtlest registers of women’s feelings.

We look forward to the birth of new work.

27 березня 2017 року відбувся круглий стіл на тему: «Виконання рішень Європейського суду з прав людини у справах «Юрій Миколайович Іванов проти України», «Бурмич та інші проти України»: необхідні заходи загального характеру.

Захід було організовано підкомітетом з питань виконання рішень Європейського суду з прав людини Комітету Верховної Ради України з питань правової політики та правосуддя, Міністерства юстиції України та проектом Ради Європи «підтримка виконання Україною рішень Євройського суду з прав людини» за фінансуванням фонду з прав людини.
