BUREAUCRACY IN SPANISH: THE EXIT CONSULATE FOR UKRAINIANS WILL FINALLY EARN ON TENERIFE

Soon, Ukrainians living in the Canary Islands will not have to pay 800 euros for the flight and spend a lot of time to submit documents to the Consulate of Ukraine, and then pick them up. On the largest island in the archipelago will work exit consulate.

The long-awaited issue of the need for outbound consular services for Ukrainian citizens living in the Canary Islands has finally been resolved. Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain plan to arrive in Tenerife by the new year. This was the result of the meeting of the Head of the Ukrainian Diaspora in the Canary Islands, Head of the International Diplomatic Mission to the Canary Islands Andriy Blind with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Spain Serhiy Pohoreltsev, which took place on October 27.

Andrey Blinda and Sergey Pogoreltsev

“The parties have agreed that there will be an exit consulate. Representatives of the Embassy have promised to come to Tenerife by the new year, ”Andriy Blinda, Head of the International Diplomatic Mission to the Canary Islands, confirmed the information in a comment to FaceNews.ua.

The question of the need to organize outbound consular services has been in the air for many years. However, after the onset of the coronavirus and lockdown pandemic, which totally restricted human movement, it became extremely acute.
The head of the Ukrainian Association in the Canary Islands says that the new Ambassador of Ukraine to Spain Serhiy Pogoreltsev, who was appointed to the post in July 2020, responded quite quickly to the request of the diaspora. In the period 2012-2015, he already held the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Spain, which means he knows about the problems of the Ukrainian diaspora not by hearsay.

“I have been trying for five years, and finally the new Ambassador from Ukraine Serhiy Pogoreltsev met with me. Because the previous one – Anatoliy Shcherba (held the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Spain from March 11, 2016 to July 2, 2020 – Ed.) – ignored the issue of the Ukrainian diaspora. It seems to me that it was easier to call Trump than to call Scherba, ”Blind says ironically and continues. – I am glad that we managed to agree. Because when I headed the Ukrainian Association in the Canary Islands, I told Ukrainian citizens: I will try to have a visiting consulate come to us to resolve various documentary issues. ”

Difficulties with documents

To make any document, including notarial acts, Ukrainians living in the Canary Islands must fly to the Consulate of Ukraine in Malaga. It costs about 500-600 euros per person.

“Not every Ukrainian can afford to fly too Malaga to resolve their documentary issues. First, it is very expensive. In a pandemic, this is almost impossible. Secondly, if people are still working, it is necessary to say goodbye. In fact, you need to fly twice: first submit the documents, and then go pick them up, “- says the legal nuances of Blind.

Distance Tenerife – Malaga

The president of the Association of Ukrainians in the Canary Islands plans to be directly involved in organizing consular services for Ukrainians, which should also simplify the bureaucratic process.

“I discussed with the Ambassador the issue of opening a consulate in the form of me. Serhiy Oleksiyovych noted that it would take some time, but he supported me, ”Blinda said.

In addition to consular issues, the representative of the Ukrainian diaspora and the Ambassador discussed economic issues, future cultural and sports events, the process of establishing relations between Ukraine and Spain.

“We continue to work in this direction. I hope that we will work closely for Ukrainian citizens and our states. We will raise the image of our country Ukraine – we do not have enough of it here. It seems to me that in general in the whole of Spain, and not only in the Canary Islands “, – summed up Andriy Blind and stressed that he remains in touch with the representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in

Of Spain and personally by Ambassador Sergei Pogoreltsev.

Continue reading “Реабілітація українських бійців у Чехії”

“Завели в таке невелике приміщення з високою стелею. На вході замначальника чи хто із двома зірками на погонах, полковник, мабуть: “Ти знаєш, чого ти сюди приїхав?” Я здогадувався, але відповів: “Та хто його знає” – “Додому хочеш?” – “Хто ж не хоче додому?” – “Пиши загальними словами прохання помилувати”. Та хай йому грець! Я нічого не написав. Не захотів”, – сказав Гриб.

A BRIEFING OF THE UKRAINIAN WOMEN IN THE UN PROJECT WAS HELD AT THE UKRAINIAN CRISIS MEDIA CENTER

The Ukrainian Crisis Media Center hosted a briefing on the Ukrainian Women at the UN project.

The program was presented and the main areas of activity of the Ukrainian delegation at the 63rd session of the UN, which is organized annually in March by the Women’s Committee on Women’s Rights (CAW63 – 2019).

Lilia Shevchenko and Angela Antonova, vice-presidents of the European Ukraine NGO, were invited.

Today, Ukrainian women are a leading party in Ukraine’s transformation. They are adamant about integrating their experience, knowledge, and intelligence into the world community because living in a geopolitical rift and armed conflict, they understand that only by joining forces can peace and peace be restored in the country. In many ways, the way to revive Ukraine is to create a sustainable socio-economic process that ensures a fair gender balance.

ANNIVERSARY OF QATAR’S INDEPENDENCE

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to Ukraine Jasim Rashid Al-Khalifa held a solemn reception in honor of the National Day dedicated to the anniversary of Qatar’s independence and the anniversary of the country’s unification.

His colleagues, heads of diplomatic missions and other distinguished guests arrived to express their respect and congratulate Mr. Ambassador on the national holiday. Among the guests was Lilia Zolotonosha, a member of the Presidential Council of the International Diplomatic Mission of People’s Diplomacy “EUROPEAN UKRAINE”.

Qatar National Day was proclaimed in 2007 and is celebrated annually on December 18.

December 18, 1878, became the day of the founding of the state of Qatar. The prehistory of this date shows that in 1867 the military forces of the rulers of Bahrain carried out a naval attack on the city of Al-Wakra as part of the fight against the Qatari rebels. Such aggression by Bahrain was a violation of the Anglo-Bahrain Treaty of 1820 – and as a result of a diplomatic reaction from Britain – the state of Qatar was created.

Until 1971, Qatar was not a fully independent state, but its people managed to maintain their national unity. And a holiday such as Qatar National Day has now become an occasion for its citizens to honor the memory of all those who fought for the establishment and development of the country’s independence and to express their gratitude to them.

INDEPENDENT UKRAINIAN CHURCH – INDEPENDENT STATE

From now on, Ukrainians will be free hosts in their homes. Decades will pass, but descendants will know that on this day the Ukrainian Orthodox Church became independent. Orthodoxy in Ukraine has become Ukrainian.

On December 15, during the Unification Council, Orthodox bishops announced the unification of Ukrainian churches into a single local independent church. Its official name sounds like this – Ukrainian Local Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Epiphanius of Pereyaslav and Bila Tserkva became the head of the Unified Local Orthodox Church. His candidacy was supported by a majority of bishops at the Unification Council in Kyiv.

WRITER’S HOUSE. PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK OF LILY ZOLOTONOSHA “WOMAN: WHAT SHE IS”

Representatives of IDM PEOPLE’S DIPLOMACY “EUROPEAN UKRAINE” were invited to the presentation of a new book by Lilia Zolotonosha “Woman: what she is.”

The solemn event took place in the Writers’ House at 2 Bankova Street. Many people came to greet Lilia, including Petro Zasenko, a famous Ukrainian poet, winner of the A. Malyshko Prize, and the author of the foreword and editor of Ms. Lilia’s newborn prose.

The ensemble “Golden Autumn” from Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi district helped to create a festive mood. The atmosphere at the presentation was very cozy, you could even say – “home”, as everyone present was friends and colleagues of Lilia. A few words should also be said about the book itself. It is written in the genre of “erotic lyrics” and helps to understand the depth of the author’s soul, her view of the world, and the place of women in this world. As Lilia said, “Woman is the foundation of the universe,” and this book is a mirror of a woman’s soul, showing how life events affect the subtlest registers of women’s feelings.

We look forward to the birth of new work.
