PRESENTATION OF THE PROGRAM OF INVOLVEMENT OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS, PARTICIPANTS OF OOS, RELEASED FOR RESERVATION OR RESIGNATION, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ELDERLY

On December 13, 2019, the presentation of the Program for Involvement of Internally Displaced Persons, Participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, Discharged or Retired, Representatives of the Older Generation to Entrepreneurial Activity took place.

The purpose of the project is to provide internally displaced persons, members of the Environmental Protection Agency, dismissed or retired, members of their families, representatives of the older generation with assistance in vocational guidance, retraining, employment, or starting their own business.

The presentation took place in the premises of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. Among those present were Ruslan Grinchenko, Head of the Diplomatic Department of the International Diplomatic Mission, one of the ideologues and authors of the project, Yaroslav Vyshnya, Director of the Economic Development and Trade Department of KODA, Serhiy Yerokhin, Rector of the National Academy of Management, and Mikhail Moldovanov. Andriy Chaika – Deputy Chairman of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners, Chairman of the Drop to Drop Foundation Mykola Ratushny, President of the International Diplomatic Mission Oleksandr Volkov, Chairman of the Board of the REGI BASE UKRAINE Charitable Foundation Angela Antonova, Chief Sciences of Public Administration, a representative of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olga Chervyakova and others.

 

After the presentation of the program and reports of representatives of various institutions, a lively discussion took place, during which the participants of the event supported the authors of the project. Yaroslav Vyshnya, Director of the Department of Economic Development and Trade of KODA, explained how important it is to support socially vulnerable groups, so the leadership of the regional administration is actively involved in the implementation of the above project.

The following main socio-economic results of the project for 2020-2025 are envisaged:

 

– Opening up to 4 thousand small and medium enterprises;

 

– Creation of up to 35 thousand new jobs;

 

– Carrying out medical and psychological rehabilitation of 4-5 thousand reserve officers and demobilized soldiers of the Environmental Protection Agency;

 

– Ensuring the effective operation of small and medium-sized military enterprises, employment, and career growth through the establishment of a Monitoring Center and a Business Incubator.

 

Sources of funding will be the NATO Trust Fund and the OSCE Special Project, charitable fund sponsorships, local budget items and soft loans, and state and local budgets of Ukraine.

 

The pilot project is designed to be implemented in the Kyiv region.
